HOMESCHOOL CO-OP
COMING SOON 2026-2027
Lue Haven’s Holistic Homeschool Co-op is a heart-centered learning community for families who want education to nourish the whole child, not just the academic parts. We blend hands-on academics with social emotional learning, creativity, movement, mindfulness, and real-world skills. Kids learn in small groups, build genuine relationships, and are encouraged to be curious, kind, and confident. A space where parents are collaborators and learning feels connected to real life.

Grounded in Ayurvedic Principles
Gently rooted in Ayurvedic principles, honoring the idea that every child carries a unique blend of energies, or doshas, that shape how they learn, move, rest, and connect. Rather than expecting all children to sit still, think the same, or move at one speed, we intentionally design our rhythm to balance Vata’s creativity and motion, Pitta’s focus and intensity, and Kapha’s steadiness and depth. Our days include grounding routines, nourishing snacks, time in nature, conscious cooking, emotional literacy circles, and rest and integration so that learning feels regulating instead of overstimulating.
When a child is fiery and driven, we teach cooling strategies and compassion. When a child is airy and imaginative, we anchor them with structure and sensory support. When a child is calm but slow to warm, we gently energize and encourage participation. This whole-child approach allows students to understand their own patterns, build self-awareness, and develop lifelong tools for balance, resilience, and embodied learning.
What are Doshas?
Doshas are basically the way Ayurveda describes the different energies that make up your body and mind. Think of them like natural operating systems that influence how you feel, think, digest food, handle stress, and even your physical traits.
There are three main doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Vata, Pitta, and Kapha are each essential to our physiology in some way, so no one dosha is better than any other. Each of them has a very specific set of functional roles to play in the body. That said, when the doshas are out of balance, they can wreak havoc on our health.
Our Core Curriculum will support a mindful balance of these doshas.

VATA (Air Energy)
Light, breezy, creative, and quick. People with a lot of Vata tend to be energetic and imaginative, but they can also feel scattered or restless. Their bodies are often cold or dry, and they do best with warmth, grounding routines, and nourishing foods.

PITTA (Fire Energy)
Sharp, intense, and ambitious, like a little internal flame. Pitta types often have strong digestion, focused minds, and a warm body temperature. They can get frustrated quickly but also recover fast. To stay balanced, they thrive with cooling foods, calm environments, and pacing themselves so the heat doesn’t get out of control.

KAPHA (Water Energy)
Solid, nurturing, and dependable. Kapha people tend to be calm, patient, and physically strong, but they can get sluggish or stuck if they don’t move enough or keep things light. They do best with activity, light and stimulating foods, and variety in their routines.
